Substitutes for Kataifi Phyllo Dough:

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave with some coconut oil in 20-second increments until smooth. Stir in between, should only need to do it three times. Then add to the blender.
Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Then pour into the Ninja Creami pint and freeze for 24 hours.
- Toast the Kataifi Phyllo Dough
Before you the base mixture is ready to be taken out of the freezer, toast the kataifi:
Take the chopped kataifi phyllo dough and spread it on a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Toast for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until golden and crisp. Let cool completely.
- Spin the Ice Cream
After 24 hours, remove the ice cream from the freezer and place in the Ninja Creami. Run on the Lite Ice Cream setting
If the texture is too crumbly, use the re-spin function for smoother consistency.
- Melt the chocolate
This is optional but adding more melted chocolate over the ice cream makes it decadent and luxuriously over the top, just how the ice cream should be.
